VOA: Oromo Prisoners of Conscience Continue to be tortured in Ethiopia...

VOA: Oromo Prisoner of Conscience Ob. Ahmed Nejash Killed in Prison, and Aaddee Haannaa Ragassaa, wife of Oromo Prisoner of Conscience Ob. Bekele Gerba, Speaks Out

Ob. Ahmed Nejash of the Oromo People’s Congress (OPC) is the second publicly known Oromo prisoner of conscience to be killed in prison over the last six months; it is to be remembered that Eng. Tasfaahuun Camadaa was killed in prison by the Woyane Abyssinian invading army in August 2013. Since the Woyane Abyssinian invading army occupied Oromia in 1991, thousands of Oromos have been executed extrajudicially, and imprisoned for years without due process, only for being Oromo nationals. According to the relatives of Ob. Ahmed Nejash, the government has refused to give the body of Ob. Ahmed Nejash to his family for burial.

Ob. Ahmed Nejash was a candidate of the Oromo People’s Congress (OPC) in Dire Dawa, Oromia, in the 2010 Election, and he was arrested by the Woyane Abyssinian invading army 2 years ago, according to news sources.
